Meet Your Peer Group

When you join VMG, you will become part of a professional development and study group for veterinary professionals. You may join an existing group, or we will build a group of members. Who are your peers?

  • 18-22 veterinarians, practice owners, and clinic managers from around the country
  • Similar-sized practices, with similar goals and challenges
  • Geographically distant, with no competitive overlap
  • All ages and stages of careers

Your peers all run independent animal hospitals. And they’ll be people you like. We make sure of it.

Getting to Know You How You Get Placed in a Group

How the Process Works:

  1. We obtain a detailed practice profile.
  2. Speak with a member of our team regarding your unique needs.
  3. Based on your profile and discussion we will either fit you with an existing VMG group or place you in a newly forming group.
  4. You and the group members connect through a few phone calls and online meetings.
  5. You attend the next in-person meeting.
  6. You and the group determine if it is the right fit – if not, we find you another group.

You’re building a lifelong connection. We make sure it’s done right.

“This isn’t a random process. We find you the peer study group that will work best for you. You’re going to be a great fit.”

– Dr. Jeff Latimer

Connecting the Veterinary Community How Do The Twice-a-Year Meetings Work?

One word: planning.

You and your peer group decide together on a place to meet. It could be someone’s hometown. It could be anywhere.

Your group plans the agenda with guidance from a facilitator. From taking a deep dive into your practice financials to bringing in a subject matter expert on leadership and team culture, you decide what topics you want to talk about. And with our concierge meeting planning team we take all the hard work out of it so that you can focus on the content that matters

It’s your group. It’s your meeting. It’s how you improve your skills as a leader and business owner, and become closer as a peer group.

Membership: Investing in Your Growth

We’ll be upfront: this isn’t free. It’s a financial commitment. It takes time. But we know it is worth it. How? Because we watch our members’ hospitals grow and we have data to prove it.
